Select Legal Systems, authors of the LAWFUSION Practice Management System for law firms, announced today further progress with their three-year expansion plan for its Hull ISO27001 datacentre.
As the legal profession continues to embrace cloud computing demand for Select Legal’s hosted solution for law firms – LAWFUSION Direct – has grown significantly. In line with demand Select Legal embarked on a three year datacentre expansion plan earlier this year.
As part of the company’s six-figure investment superfast 10 gigabit networking was installed in February 2016 along with additional ultra-high performance servers and extra SAN storage systems. Progressing further with this plan Select Legal has this month added a 1 gigabit data line and a number of additional servers increasing the datacentre’s storage capacity by 50 Terabytes.
Mike Craven, co-owner and Director of Select Legal Systems Limited said, “We are delighted to announce the success of our cloud computing option for law firms which is underpinned by a very robust datacentre investment strategy as we grow and take the product forward. The decision whether to host your practice management system on your own servers and manage them inhouse or to go for the outsourced cloud option is a unique one for every law firm. We offer and support both options but the trend this year so far is 70% / 30% in favour of the cloud for LAWFUSION orders and our forecasts show the trend is set to continue. “
LAWFUSION Direct is the company’s ‘cloud computing’ option for law firms. With this option, for a competitive monthly fee, law firms get the full LAWFUSION suite of legal practice management software as well as their fully integrated Microsoft Office and Exchange products all hosted securely on the Select Legal cloud at the Hull, state-of-the-art datacentre. Select’s dedicated team of legal software experts handle all daily back-up procedures for LAWFUSION Direct clients and they also take care of all LAWFUSION software upgrades remotely as part of the hosted contract.
