Congratulations are in order for three of our clients. Cartwright King, ABR Solicitors and Woods Whur who have all been shortlisted for the Yorkshire Legal Awards. The three firms, that all have a presence in Yorkshire, were named last week as having made it onto the awards shortlist. Cartwright King and ABR Solicitors have both been nominated for the Criminal Law Award and Woods Whur for the Niche Law Award.
Organised by Barker Brooks Communications, publishers of Leeds & Yorkshire Lawyer magazine, The Yorkshire Legal Awards recognises successful lawyers in the Yorkshire region. The annual awards include categories for law firms of different sizes and different areas of work and recognise a wide variety of legal achievements.
Yorkshire based Select Legal Systems Limited, authors of LAWFUSION, the popular suite of legal practice management software, work with law firms nationally and have hundreds of clients across the length and breadth of the country. Select offers a wide range of software modules covering all areas of law including: crime, family, conveyancing and many others, as well as some very specific areas for specialist niche firms.
For the first time this year Select Legal, due to its strong reputation as a supplier of first-class crime software, was invited to sponsor this year’s Criminal Law Award.
Cartwright King, one of the country’s largest providers of legal aid, have been users of LAWFUSION since since 2009 – you can hear them talk about how they make the most of the LAWFUSION crime and billing software in this case study video. They are also featured in this cloud vs on-premise white paper style video.

It’s great to see our clients nominated for these prestigious awards. In my opinion all three firms would make very deserving winners and I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of all their friends at Select Legal, to wish them the very best of luck. Of course the best of luck to all the other nominees too. We are looking forward to celebrating with everyone on the night.”
